February 2000 NEOPLANET's official LORD OF THE RINGS web browser made its debut on the NEW LINE Home Video DVD release of the Johnny Depp sci-fi thriller THE ASTRONAUT'S WIFE. The browser offers fans an enhanced opportunity to interact with one another in an LOTR environment, complete with exclusive sound and graphics. The second phase of this official site launched on the 19th, with our first "Live on Set," report and the NEOPLANET LORD OF THE RINGS browser. Scenes set in Orthanc, Helms Deep, Bag End, and Rivendell were shot throughout the month.
