NEW LINE CINEMA presented a first-look at the film to exhibitors
at the SHO*WEST Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 6th - 9th.
Approximately six minutes in length, the footage wowed the audience,
and reports of its contents made it online to such fan sites as AINT
IT COOL NEWS.
VANITY FAIR printed the first photo of the full cast in costume
in their print magazine.
The many LORD OF THE RINGS fan sites ended the month with
a 10-day countdown in anticipation of an exclusive Internet preview
of the film set for April 7th. Every day during the countdown, these
sites debuted still images from the production
Scenes of Gandalf imprisoned in Orthanc Tower were shot this
month at STONE FILM Studios.
